GiftX.lk – Surprise Event & Gifting Platform
GiftX.lk is a unique service-based e-commerce platform in Sri Lanka dedicated to "Surprise Gift Delivery" and event planning. Unlike standard retail sites, GiftX requires a blend of product sales and service scheduling. We developed a vibrant, high-conversion web application that allows users to book surprise packages, customized gifts, and event services seamlessly.

The Challenge
The "Surprise Industry" is highly emotional and time-sensitive. The client needed a platform that didn't just sell items but sold an experience. The technical challenge was to create a UI that felt celebratory and "gift-like" while maintaining a complex backend that could handle customized gift instructions, specific delivery timing for surprises, and a diverse range of categories from flower bouquets to elaborate event setups.
Our Solution
We built a custom e-commerce engine using Laravel, Livewire, and MySQL, styled with Tailwind CSS. This stack allowed us to create a "Single Page Application" feel that is lightning-fast, ensuring that the excitement of sending a gift isn't lost to slow loading times.
Results
GiftX.lk has successfully digitized the "Surprise Culture" in Sri Lanka. The platform has transitioned the client from a manual Instagram/WhatsApp booking model to a professional, automated storefront. This has not only increased their daily order capacity but also allowed them to manage logistics and customer data with far greater efficiency.
